Dr. Worth Cotton (BSc, Duke University, MSc. and PhD, University of Colorado Boulder) is the Geoscience Technical Team Lead for Egypt, with 30 years of industry experience, 22 of which have been with ExxonMobil.
Throughout his career, Worth has worked on projects across the globe, including North America (Rocky Mountains, Gulf of Mexico), South America (Guyana, Suriname, Colombia, Chile), Eurasia (Norway, Russia), and Africa (Nigeria, Equatorial Guinea, Cameroon, São Tomé and Príncipe, Angola, Madagascar, and currently Egypt).
Worth’s experience spans all stages of the business lifecycle, from brownfield production to frontier exploration. He is passionate about mentoring young professionals, building high-performing teams, and identifying commercially attractive oil and gas opportunities.
