Egypt continues to be the leader with an installed capacity of 6.7 GW of renewables by 2024

According to the International Energy Agency (IEA), the demand for electricity in North Africa is set to rise by more than 50% by 2035, driven by factors such as growth in population, electricity access, urbanization, industrial development, surge in demand for cooling and desalination, etc.
